What a beautiful Sunday morning. After weeks of incessant wet weather, the rain is finally relenting and the ground is slowly drying.
While for many the weather may not have felt so extreme, for farmers here in Cornwall the frequency of the rain in cold damp weather has soft saturated soils. The grass is suffering and jobs requiring tractor work keep getting postponed.
Going out this morning, the air was filled with bird song and while still wet, there was a sense that the soil is sighing with relief. Spring will be here soon!
