> It may only be grass, but it was our first harvest. After several weeks of waiting, the right weather arrived and stayed long enough to make silage. We had Stone Field cut on the Wednesday afternoon, and spread on the Thursday afternoon. Friday was grey, and full of light drizzle, so even though the grass started wilting it was still to wet for good silage and we postponed baling.
We started baling after lunch and got a chain going taking the bales to the store.
